Salsabeel (سلسبيل), Fine Art Print
Salsabeel (سلسبيل) is an Arabic term meaning a spring or fountain in paradise.
The use of blue and white was inspired by ‘Iznik’ which is a decorated ceramic that was produced in Turkey from the last quarter of the 15th century. The pattern itself is in the shape of a mandala which is a symbol of the universe in its ideal form and also represents the spiritual journey, starting from outside to the inner core, through layers.
