Leaving home
Home will always stay the same and that can be comforting, but sometimes we need to leave in order for it to feel good again.
I hope you're safe and well.
I arrived back from Greece two weeks ago. It was wonderful. To leave the country again after 6 months at home is just what I needed and there was no better way then to spend it waking up seeing a clear blue sky, chasing turquoise waters, eating fresh food and having no worries apart from how much SPF I was wearing!
I've realised over time that leaving home even for a few days can have a huge positive impact on my mindset. Six months indoors had got the better of me, I was feeling exhausted, numb and tired of everyday life in lockdown.
When I arrived back I felt significantly lighter and much more like myself. I had gained energy back and I was pretty content being back in London (I always am after being away!). So this is just a short post to remind you about the importance of leaving from time to time. Our brain gets too comfortable when we stick to one place, sometimes we need to change our surroundings in order to wake it up again. Spending time in a new land with people who do things differently to you will make life more interesting. The world will look colourful again and the inspiration and enthusiasm that you were looking for will return. So leave and leave often, whether it's just for a day, a week or months. You'll probably feel much better for it.
